Part Time Front Desk Receptionist (Fresno)

We are looking for a part-time (PT) Front Desk Receptionist, to be the first impression of the company, in person and over the phone. The Front Desk Receptionist creates a welcoming and hospitable experience for all customers and guests. This position greets and guides customers, vendors and other visitors. The role also includes administrative duties including distributing correspondence, sending out mail and directing phone calls. Along with other administrative team members, Front Desk Receptionist’s duties include providing clerical support to various individuals and departments across the organization as needed or assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Answers, screens and directs inbound phone calls to the correct individuals/departments, following established phone/transfer practices.
  • Assesses caller’s needs, answers basic questions and connects them to the best party to assist.
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office, notifies appropriate individuals and ensures visitors get to their scheduled meetings.
  • Distribute incoming mail, post and send outbound mail daily.
  • Tracks and recognizes/announces employee birthdays daily.

Perform daily clerical duties to support departments, including:

  • Prepares and mails invoices and statements
  • Scans previous day’s pick slip labels into the ERP system accurately
  • May provide support for company event planning and execution
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Back up other receptionists in duties when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma
  • Proven work experience in customer service or as a Receptionist/Front Office Representative or similar role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with office equipment preferred
  • Customer service oriented
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Organized, with follow-through to meet deadlines independently

Hours:

This is a part-time hourly position. The initial schedule will be between the hours of 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Wednesday. Scheduled days of the week and hours may be adjusted to support business needs. Occasional overtime required.

Compensation:
  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $17-$20/hour

Director of Purchasing and Customer Service

We are seeking a senior-level leader to support the goals of offering the best possible products and services to our customers. The Director of Purchasing and Customer Service will be responsible for overseeing the organization's procurement and supply chain management activities as well as customer service. This role will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts. The Director of Purchasing and Customer Service also plays a key role in cost control, risk management, and ensuring the timely supply of the right products. We have an excellent assistant manager in place, focused on the customer service side to help keep your focus on strategic procurement and overall leadership and direction of the team.

Responsibilities:
  • Procurement: Track and manage all procurement to buy in the most efficient, cost-effective ways from the best source. Monitor market trends and supplier performance metrics to inform procurement decisions.
  • Vendor (Supplier) Negotiations: Negotiate the best deals possible. Thoughtfully, strategically, and methodically approach our vendor relationships to maximize value to CMC and our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Review purchasing reports and purchasing metrics to align our inventory with company goals of service levels, turns, total inventory, etc. Take action to drive improvement. Learn the ERP purchasing settings and levers, make recommendations to manipulate inventory to desired levels
  • Product Selection: Coordinate with the sales team to understand purchasing and product needs Research, manage and move new products through the creation and promotion process. Vigilantly discontinue products that do not sell.
  • Risk Management: Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions to ensure smooth operations.
  • International sourcing: Work with brokers and directly with international manufacturers to import products. Strategically identify and develop suppliers globally to source new products and expand Charles McMurray Company’s private label products.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, foster a culture of excellence and develop purchasing expertise.
  • Pricing: Oversee Pricing Specialist; and effective price implementations.
  • Work with the Assistant Manager of Customer Service to oversee the function and drive the customer experience based upon our mission statement.
  • Develop and execute near and longer-term vision & strategies for the department; set goals and supporting individual assistant manager goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Evaluate department performance. Track key metrics across the department, providing regular reports on performance and taking action on areas of opportunity and/or in need of improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership in purchasing or supply chain management. Director level leadership preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful supplier agreements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools to effectively manage a supply chain.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team leadership and performance management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage remote employees.
  • Requires monthly travel to Phoenix and Sacramento branches.
Compensation:
  • $130,000-180,000 annual salary, plus annual bonus program based upon company and individual goal performance.

Pay dependent upon candidate's unique set of qualifications.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection.
